Van Veen Cleans Up Again

Gian Van Veen secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after completing a clean sweep, with five wins from five to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series.

Van Veen, who entered Wednesday’s play on 14 points from the opening two days of Group A, topped the group overall by winning all five of his matches for the second time in three days, as he recorded victories over Arjan Konterman, David Cameron, Gary Stone, Josh Payne and Graham Usher, to finish on 24 points from a possible 30.

Elsewhere, Josh Payne and David Cameron will compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively overall, with Payne ending on 18 points and Cameron on 16 points. The duo will be joined by James Richardson, Paul Hogan and Andy Jenkins.

Gary Stone, Arjan Konterman and Graham Usher will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4^th, 5^th and 6^th respectively, with Stone ending on 14 points, Konterman on 12 points and Usher on 6 points. The trio will be joined by Danny Lauby, Diogo Portela and Adam Lipscombe.

Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 9:30am GMT and Group B commencing from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
