Gary Stone and David Cameron took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day 1 of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Gian Van Veen in the Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.
Scotland’s Stone, who entered Group C having finished 4th in Group A earlier in the week, took the early lead, after winning four of his five matches during Thursday’s earlier session, as he recorded victories over Danny Lauby, Adam Lipscombe, Diogo Portela and Graham Usher, with his only defeat coming against Arjan Konterman.
Elsewhere, Graham Usher ended the day in 3rd on 6 points, with the four remaining players all sat on 4 points each, as debutant Adam Lipscombe sits in 3rd with a higher leg difference over his three competitors.
In Group B, however, all five players incredibly ended the night on 4 points each, with David Cameron sitting top of the table with a higher leg difference over his four competitors, which sets up an intriguing 2nd session of Group B during Friday’s play.
Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Gian Van Veen in Saturday’s finale, with Stone and Cameron taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 9:30am GMT and Group B will commence from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites.
