Adam Warner was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week 8 at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Alec Small in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 1st prize.
Warner, who entered the finale having won Group A earlier in the week, won just one of his group phase matches, by winning his opener against Leonard Gates, before losing out to Chris Landman. The ADC qualifier eventually progressed through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Nick Kenny, and dispatched the Welshman 4-1 to seal his place in the final.
In the decider, Warner came up against Alec Small, who’d defeated Chris Landman in the Semi Finals, and it was 17 darter in a last leg decider that sealed the victory for Warner, as he picked up the £5,000 weekly 1st prize, the Week 8 crown and a place at Champions Week.
The Modus Super Series will return in 2023, with the date for the start of Week 9 of Stage 2 to be confirmed in due course. It will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
