Martin Adams, Kevin Dowling, Paul Hogan, Colin Monk and Matt Clark all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Kevin Painter, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Adams, who entered Friday’s play on 10 points from the opening day of Group C, won three matches from five to top the group overall, as he recorded victories over Kevin Dowling, Barrie Bates and David Davies, with his two defeats coming against Gary Stafford and Mike Symes, to end on 16 points from a possible 20.
Elsewhere, Kevin Dowling also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 12 points, and edging out David Davies, who also ended on 12 points overall, but finished in 3rd and missed out on leg difference, whilst Gary Stafford finished 4th on 10 points, Mike Symes in 5th on 8 points and Barrie Bates bottom on 2 points.
In Group B, Paul Hogan topped the group overall, despite only winning two matches from four on Friday evening, to end on 12 points from a possible 16, after completing a clean sweep during Thursday’s play.
Elsewhere, Colin Monk and Matt Clark also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Monk ending on 10 points and Clark on 8 points, edging out Mike Norton, who also ended on 8 points overall, but missed out on leg difference, whilst Dave Prins finished bottom on 2 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week 10 with the six players battling it out for just 1 spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 10:00pm GMT.
