Matt Clark was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week 10 at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Kevin Painter in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 1st prize.
Clark, who entered the finale having finished 3rd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, won just one of his group phase matches, by losing his opener to Paul Hogan, before dispatching Martin Adams to make it through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Kevin Dowling, and defeated ‘The Bounty Hunter’ in a last leg decider, 4-3, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Clark came up against Kevin Painter, who’d defeated Paul Hogan in the last four, and it was Super performance from ‘Superman’, who whitewashed ‘The Artist’, 4-0, to pick up the £5,000 1st prize, the Week 10 crown and a spot in Champions Week next month.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week 11, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field to be announced in due course. Play will commence from 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
