The Modus Super Series staged a superb final opportunity for some big names to make the second 20k Champions Week under the new regime.
It was Scotland’s John Henderson who was victorious on Saturday as he became the winner of Week 12.
Hendo timed his form to perfection, defeating Niall Culleton in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 1st prize.
Henderson, who entered the finale having finished 3rd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, won both of his group phase matches, as he defeated Niall Culleton and Richard North to progress through to the Semi Finals.
Hendo then came up against Fallon Sherrock. It was ‘The Highlander’ who prevailed, dispatching ‘The Queen of the Palace’, 4-1, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Henderson came up against Niall Culleton for the second time on the night, and once again The Scotsman was victorious, as he sealed the victory in a last leg decider, 4-3, with a 112 checkout to book his place in Champions Week and pick up the £5,000 weekly 1st prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Champions Week, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field to be announced in due course.
