Jon Worsley made it a perfect debut on Monday, in ending Day 1 of Group A, top, after completing a clean sweep, with five wins from five, with Week 1 of Stage Three commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Saturday saw Stage Two at the Modus Super Series come to a close, with Australian star Raymond Smith picking up the record-breaking £20,000 in prize money by winning Champions Week and adding his name to the roll of honour, alongside Stage One winner, Conan Whitehead.
Stage Three began with Former Tour Card Holder, Worsley, taking the early lead in Group A, as he recorded his five victories on Monday over Alec Small, David Evans, Steve Brown, Andy Hamilton and Shane McGuirk.
Elsewhere, Andy Hamilton and Shane McGuirk ended the day 2nd and 3rd respectively on 6 points each, whilst David Evans and Steve Brown sit 4th and 5th on 4 points each, but it was a disappointing day for Alec Small, who failed to register a victory, with five defeats from five.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Worsley leading the way thus far. Play will begin at 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
