Mike Warburton took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day 1 of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, with Week 5 of Stage 2 commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Warburton, who’s become a regular fixture at the Super Series across the last two years, made his return by taking the early lead in Group A, after winning four matches from five and recording victories over Jack Wareing, Matthew Dennant, Sebastian Bialecki and John Michael, with his only defeat coming against Conor Heneghan.
Elsewhere, three players in Matthew Dennant, Conor Heneghan and John Michael all ended the day 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively on 6 points each, whilst Sebastian Bialecki sits in 5th on 4 points, but it was a disappointing debut for Jack Wareing, with the ADC qualifier suffering five defeats from five.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Warburton leading the way thus far.
Play will begin at 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
