Mike Warburton, Reece Robinson, Conor Heneghan, Alan Norris and Sebastian Bialecki all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Matthew Dennant, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Warburton, who entered Friday’s play in 2nd on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall, after winning four of his five matches again, as he recorded victories over John Michael, Jack Wareing, Scott Baker and Reece Robinson, with his only defeat coming against Steve Haggerty, to end on 16 points from a possible 20.
Elsewhere, Reece Robinson also secured his place in Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 14 points, whilst Scott Baker and Steve Haggerty finished 3rd and 4th respectively on 10 points each, John Michael in 5th on 8 points and Jack Wareing bottom on 2 points.
In Group B, Conor Heneghan topped the group overall, after winning three of his four matches, as he recorded victories over Trina Gulliver, Sebastian Bialecki and Jamie Kelling, with his only defeat coming against Alan Norris, to end on 14 points from a possible 16.
Elsewhere, Alan Norris and Sebastian Bialecki also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Norris ending on 12 points and Bialecki on 10 points, whilst Jamie Kelling and Trina Gulliver finished 4th and 5th on 2 points each.
The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week 5 with the six players battling it out for just 1 spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 10:00pm GMT.
