Mike Warburton was victorious on Saturday as he crowned the winner of Week 5 at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Conor Heneghan in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 1st prize.
Warburton, who entered the finale having won Group C on Thursday and Friday, won both of his group phase matches, by defeating Sebastian Bialecki and Conor Heneghan to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Alan Norris, and the Welshman whitewashed ‘Chuck’ 4-0 to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Warburton came up against Conor Heneghan for the 2nd time on the night, and once again the Welshman was victorious, as he came from behind to defeat the Irishman in a last leg decider, 4-3, to book his place in Champions Week and pick up the £5,000 weekly 1st prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week 6, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field to be announced in due course. Play will commence from 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
