Littler’s MK Double

Luke Littler picked up his 2nd Winmau Development Tour title in the space of 24 hours on Saturday, after defeating Kevin Troppmann in the final of Event Five.

The opening weekend of the PDC’s Youth Tour season came to a close at the Marshall Arena, Milton Keynes, with Luke The Nuke the only player to claim more than one title.

Littler, who was victorious at Saturday’s Event Three, went all the way once again, as he reached the final firstly by recording victories against Robbie Chalmers, Owen Roelofs, Keanen Norris, Bradley Brooks, Jurjen Van der Velde, Sam Cromwell and Owen Bates, to set up a clash with the German, Troppmann.

The final began with Littler taking the opener in 14 darts, before Troppmann charged in front, by winning three straight legs in a total of 53 darts to move 3-1 ahead in a race to five. Littler then stormed back in front, by winning four consecutive legs, ending with a 21-dart hold of throw, which saw the 16-year-old seal a 5-3 victory, picking up a 2nd title in three events and to end a remarkable debut weekend on the PDC circuit.

The PDC Winmau Development Tour returns between 28-30th April with Events 6-10 taking place at the Robin Park Tennis Centre, Wigan. All live scores and results will be viewed via tv.dartconnect.com.
