The ADC’s latest series of events kicked off at Manchester’s Forum Hall today as the organisation capitalises on last year’s Championship Tour’s success. Many of last year’s successful players will be present again as they look to claim the large prizes on offer.
Tony Newell will be present although other winners such as Adam Warner and Smith-Neale have since secured PDC Tour Cards. Steve Brown, another 2022 winner, has decided to take a step back and concentrate on his other duties to the organisation.
Darts’s World Colin’s Osborne picked up a handy victory in the warm-up event, on Friday night, and will be hoping to once again go deep into the weekend’s events.
The event winners from Saturday and Sunday will receive a place in a later week of the MODUS Super Series and thus a chance to win £5000 and even £20,000, in addition to their ranking points and other potential qualifications and benefits.
David Evans was looking in fine form in the early stages of Saturday’s event and was the first player into the last 16 in what is almost a home event for Stretch. Another local player AJ Urmston Toft was also going well early on and will be hoping to repeat his efforts at last year’s ADC / Red Dragon Singles League Finals where he reached the semi-finals.
Support from LP Detecting and Winmau ensures these ADC main events are known as the best events outside the PDC both for rewards and for organisation.
