Gill Poole Memorial Knockout: Lloyd and Lilley Claim Crowns

The South West Birmingham Clubs League staged their annual Gill Poole (pictured left) Memorial Knockout at Stirchley United. Across the men’s and women’s knockouts there was a superb total of seventy entries.

The men’s title went to Matthew Lloyd who defeated Lee Fowler in the final. Taking the women’s title with a final win over Lynne Arnold was Samantha-Jayne Lilley. All money raised from the evening is going to the Air Ambulance Charity.

Men’s: Runner-Up:- Lee Fowler, Winner: Matthew Lloyd.

Women’s: Runner-Up:- Lynne Arnold, Winner: Samantha-Jayne Lilley.

Gilberts Bar Bank Holiday Darts

Meanwhile Gilbert’s Bar laid on another of their popular Bank Holiday Monday Knockouts, Alex Howells winning his semi-final against Kobi Holyhead 3-0 and then joining him in the final was Ben Johnson who in his last four game accounted for Joe Bartolo with a 3-1 result. The final was extended to the best of seven legs and went the full distance with Ben Johnson coming out the 4-3 champion with Alex Howells runner-up.
