Mike Gillet was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week 11 at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Cam Crabtree in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 1st prize.
Gillet, who entered the finale having finished 3rd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, won just one of his group phase matches, as he lost his opener to Cam Crabtree, before defeating Carl Hamilton to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Shaun McDonald, and at that stage, he defeated the Scotsman, 4-2, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Gillet came up against Cam Crabtree for the second time on the night, and on this occasion, he got his revenge over the recent Challenge Tour Event winner, as he took the tie, 4-3, to book his place in Champions Week and pick up the weekly £5,000 1st prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week 12, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field to be announced in due course.
