Gian Van Veen was victorious on Sunday, in winning his 3rd PDC Development Tour title of the year, after defeating Bradley Roes in the decider, as the second weekend of the PDC’s Youth Tour season concluded in Wigan.

Van Veen, who was victorious at Saturday’s Event Eight, went all the way once again, as he reached the final firstly by recording victories against Sebastian Bialecki, Rusty-Jake Rodriguez, Alfie Thompson, Wessel Nijman, Jurjen Van der Velde and Jarred Cole, to set up a clash with fellow compatriot, Bradley Roes.

The final began with Van Veen racing into a 2-0 lead, with winning legs coming in 18 and 14 darts respectively, before Roes halved the deficit in Leg Three with a 15 darter, which turned out to be his only leg won in the finale, as Van Veen rattled off three consecutive legs in a total of 54 darts to seal a 5-1 victory, picking up a 3rd title of the year and a 4th of his career.

The PDC Winmau Development Tour returns between 9-11th June with Events 11-15 taking place from Halle 39, Hildesheim. All live scores and results will be viewed via tv.dartconnect.com.
