David Evans and Ryan Palmer took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day 1 of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Moreno Blom in the Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.
Former Tour Card Holder, Evans, made it a perfect return to the Super Series, by taking the early lead in Group C, as he completed a clean sweep with five wins from five, recording victories against Youri Brouwer, Mal Cuming, Charlie Large, Robert Rickwood and Danny Lauby, dropping just eight legs along the way.
Elsewhere, Robert Rickwood and Youri Brouwer ended the day 2nd and 3rd respectively on 6 points each, whilst Danny Lauby sits in 4th on 4 points, with Mal Cuming and Charlie Large sitting joint bottom on 2 points each.
In Group B, Ryan Palmer took the early lead, after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four, as he recorded victories against Lee Cocks, Wesley Harms, Keelan Kay and Rob Collins.
Elsewhere, Rob Collins ended the night in 2nd on 6 points, Wesley Harms in 3rd on 4 points, Lee Cocks in 4th on 2 points, but it was a disappointing evening for Keelan Kay, who failed to register a victory, having suffered four defeats from four.
Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Moreno Blom in Saturday’s finale, with Evans and Palmer taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 1pm BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
