Conan Whitehead, Bradly Roes, Stuart White, Matthew Dennant and Johnny Haines all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Neil Duff, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Whitehead, who entered Friday’s play on a maximum 10 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall, after winning three of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Trina Gulliver, Marvin Van Velzen and Jeremy Fagg, with his two defeats coming against Adam Hunt and Bradly Roes, to end on 16 points from a possible 20.
Elsewhere, Bradly Roes also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 14 points, whilst Adam Hunt finished 3rd on 10 points, Jeremy Fagg and Marvin Van Velzen finishing 4th and 5th on 8 points and Trina Gulliver bottom on 4 points.
In Group B, Matthew Dennant topped the group overall, after winning three of his four matches on Friday Evening, as he recorded victories against Johnny Haines, Andy Jenkins and Stuart White, with his only defeat coming against Niall Culleton, to end on 10 points from a possible 16.
Stuart White and Johnny Haines also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with White finishing on 10 points and Haines on 8 points, edging out Niall Culleton in 4th on leg difference, with Andy Jenkins finishing bottom on 4 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week Three with the six players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm BST.
