Adam Gawlas was victorious on Sunday, in winning his long awaited maiden PDC Development Tour title.
The Czech, known as ‘Flawlas’, defeated Dylan Slevin in the final of Event 15, as the third weekend of the PDC’s Youth Tour season came to a close in Hildesheim.
Former World Youth Championship Finalist, Gawlas, reached the final firstly on Sunday by recording victories against Moreno Blom, Seppe Dasseville, Jamai Van den Herik, Jack Male, Jacob Gwynne, David Schlichting and Jurjen Van der Velde, to set up a clash with fellow Tour Card Holder, Slevin.
Nothing separated the pair throughout the final with eight straight holds of throw heading into the ninth and deciding leg, in which Slevin had the advantage of throwing first, and from there, Gawlas produced his best leg of the tie in 14 darts to seal a 5-4 victory and pick up the £2,500 top prize, denying Slevin the opportunity to pick up a 2nd Development Tour success of the year.
The PDC Winmau Development Tour returns between 14-16th July with Events 16-20 taking place from The Morningside Arena, Leicester. All live scores and results will be viewed via tv.dartconnect.com.
