Chris Landman moved to the top of the table on Tuesday, after winning four of his five matches on Day Two and looks in a step G position to again secure his place in Saturday’s finale, going into the final day of Group A on Wednesday.
Landman, who entered Tuesday’s play on 6 points from the opening day of Group A, won four matches from five to move top of the table, as he recorded victories against Andy Jenkins, Robin Beger, Jelle Klaasen and Johan Van Velzen, with his only defeat coming against David Davies, to sit on 14 points from a possible 20.
Elsewhere, Davies, who entered Tuesday’s play top of the table on 8 points, sits in 2nd on 14 points, behind Landman on leg difference, whilst Van Velzen sits in 3rd on 10 points, Klaasen and Jenkins sitting 4th and 5th on 8 points each, with Beger sitting bottom on 6 points.
Jenkins again bookended his day with victories over Klaasen and Berger but couldn’t gain a point from any of his middle three games.
The Modus Super Series continues on Wednesday with the six players returning on the final day of Group A, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Landman leading the way thus far.
Players who finish in places 2-6 will be split into two groups in Thursday and Friday’s play with Afternoon and Evening sessions taking place on both days, as well as new players entering the fray.
Play will begin at 9:30am BST on Wednesday and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
