Rene Eidams took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, with Week 10 of Stage Four commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Eidams, who most famously took Michael Van Gerwen to a deciding set tiebreak as a Qualifier at the 2016 PDC World Championship, made an excellent start to his debut week at the Super Series, with the German winning four matches out of five on Day One of Group A, as he recorded victories against Steve Brown, Davie Kirwan, Jim Mayer and Tom Becker, with his only defeat coming against Jon Worsley.
Elsewhere, Steve Brown also ended the day on 8 points, but sits behind Eidams on leg difference, whilst debutant Tom Becker sits in 3rd on 6 points, Jon Worsley in 4th on 4 points, with further debutants, Davie Kirwan and Jim Mayer sitting joint bottom on 2 points each.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Eidams leading the way thus far.
Play will begin at 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
