Rene Eidams was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week 10 at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Steve Brown in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Eidams, who entered Saturday’s finale having won Group A earlier in the week, began the night by winning just one of his group phase matches, as he won his opener against Rob Grundy, before suffering a defeat to Steve Brown.
However, ‘The Cube’ did progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Darryl Pilgrim, and from there, he defeated the pre-tournament favourite, 4-2, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Eidams came up against Steve Brown for the second time on the night, and this time, The German got his revenge, as he produced a remarkable comeback to seal a deciding leg victory, having been 3-0 down, to book his place in Champions Week for the first time in his career and pick up the £5,000 weekly top prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week 11, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field to be announced in due course.
Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
