Jeroen Mioch fought off Steve West’s challenge and maintained his position at the top of the MSS table on Tuesday, after winning four of his five matches on Day Two and is in prime position to secure his place in Saturday’s Champions Week finale.
Mioch, who entered Tuesday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group A, won four matches from five again to remain top of the table, as he recorded victories against Reece Robinson, Andy Boulton, Luke Littler and Berry Van Peer.
The Dutchman’s only defeat came against Steve West, to sit on 16 points from a possible 20 thus far.
West is the closest competitor to Mioch, with the Englishman also sat on 16 points after winning all five of his Tuesday fixtures, but still sits in 2nd on leg difference.
Luke Littler and Reece Robinson sit 3rd and 4th respectively on 12 points each, with Andy Boulton and Berry Van Peer sitting 5th and 6th on 2 points each.
The Modus Super Series continues on Wednesday with the six players returning on the final day of Group A, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Mioch leading the way thus far.
Players who finish in places 2-6 will be split into two groups during Thursday and Friday’s play with Afternoon and Evening sessions taking place on both days, as well as new players entering the fray.
Play will begin at 9:30am BST on Wednesday and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
