Record Super Series Average Set Darryl Pilgrim included a perfect nine dart leg and recorded the highest average set at the MODUS Super Series in the space of two matches.
The Englishman found the 9 darter in his matchup with ADC Qualifier Scott Taylor but went on to fall to a 4-2 defeat despite averaging 118.88 including 6 180s.
The 36-year-old returned in his next match to record the highest average seen at the Live Lounge, defeating Dennie Olde Karter 4-0 with a score off 122.69. Glad all Over produced legs off 14,12 and 2 11 dart legs, missing no darts at the outer ring as he moved joint top of Group A along with his Dutch opponent on 14pts.
Pilgrim defeated bottom of the table Niall Culleton and 3rd placed Arjan Konterman in his final two matches, with both ADC Europe qualifiers still in the hunt to win the group on Day 3 as well as Scott Taylor who all have 12pts after two days.
Olde Karter could have ended the day 2pts clear at the top of the group but fell in his final match to a 4-2 defeat against ADC Qualifier Scott Taylor, who clinched a 4-2 win in Portsmouth.
Justin Smith and Niall Culleton look set to enter Group C on Thursday and Friday, with Dom Littler, WDF Boys Runner Up Charlie Large and ADC Number 2 Tony Wood all starting their campaigns in Week 2 of Series 5 in the Super Series.
Group A reaches its conclusion on Wednesday with four players still hunting a spot in Finals Night on Saturday, but Day 2 belongs to Darryl Pilgrim who included a 9-dart leg and the highest Super Series average: 122.69.
