Darryl Pilgrim having broken the record average at the MODUS Super Series twice in one day, completed his perfect week at the Live Lounge with victory in Series 5 Week 2.
Glad all Over defeated Dom Taylor 4-0 in the Final, confirming his win after hitting 2 treble 19s and double 18 to finish 150 and claim £5,000.
The Englishman joins Matt Clark in confirming his place in the Series 5 Champions Week, having booked his place in the Week 2 Grand Finale after winning Group A earlier in the week.
Darryl clinched 5 wins from 5 on Wednesday in what was a closely contested group, with Dennie Olde Kalter, Scott Taylor and Arjan Konterman all closely behind after the first two days.
Tuesday saw Pilgrim claim the highest recorded average at the Super Series, having scored 122.69 in beating Olde Kalter 4-0 after losing 4-2 to Scott Taylor in his previous match. Glad All Over broke the record average despite defeat to the ADC Qualifier, scoring 118.88 in a 4-2 defeat.
The 36-year-old started his Finals Night campaign with victories over Justin Smith and Scott Taylor in Group 1, averaging an impressive 107.31 in clinching a 4-3 defeat against Taylor including a 120 finish and a 66% checkout rate.
The Englishman once more got the better of ADC Europe Qualifier Dennie Olde Kalter, again clinching a last leg decider and finding a ton plus finish. Darryl hit 129 to move 3-0 ahead against the 31-year-old Dutchman, but allowed his opponent back into the match as the Semi Final went to a last leg decider.
Pilgrim found an 86 finish with his last dart at double 8 to secure his place in the Final, where he would face Dom Taylor who beat Justin Smith 4-0 in the other Semi Final with a 100.20 average and a 50% finishing rate.
Glad All Over hit his 2nd ton plus average when it really mattered as he whitewashed Taylor in the Final, scoring 103.66 with a flawless display on the outer ring.
The display included a 150 finish to win it in Portsmouth, securing a spot in Champions Week where £20,000 is on the line.
Week 3 sees John Henderson and Fallon Sherrock return to the Live Lounge, with Adam Lipscombe, James Hurrell, Mareno Michels and Marko Kantele completing the Group A lineup.
