After becoming the first female player to hit a 9 darter in a PDC competitive match, Fallon Sherrock MBE went one better at the MODUS Super Series after hitting another perfect leg, but this time on our television screens.
Fallon claimed the 6th leg of her match with Adam Lipscombe with the magical 141 finish after two 180s, before going on to earn the 2pts with a 4-3 win in Group C.
The Queen of the Palace topped Group C and secured her place in Saturday’s Finals Night along with Scott Baker, who finished 2nd on legs difference at the Live Lounge.
The former Women’s World Matchplay winner secured her passage to Finals Night with an 81 checkout against The Mod to lead 3-1 but went on to lose the remaining 3 legs of the match.
Shaun McDonald had a Friday session to remember in Portsmouth after coming into Day 5 after finishing Thursday’s action bottom of Group B.
The Scotsman went on to top the group after finding 4 wins out of a possible 4 at the Live Lounge and will be joined at Finals Night by Scott Marsh and ADC Europe Qualifier Mareno Michels who both finished with 8pt.
It was an unlucky ending to a 5-day spell in Week 3 Series 5 for former WDF Number 1 James Hurrell, who just missed out on a place in Finals Night by a single leg on the legs difference.
Finals Night will commence on Saturday from 7:30pm live streamed on YouTube as well as Sportystuff TV where John Henderson returns to action after winning Group A on Wednesday, and record-breaking Fallon Sherrock MBE features to try and claim her first weekly win in the MODUS Super Series.
