MASTERS CHAMPION DOBEY MAKES DEADLINE DAY DEAL WITH TARGET DARTS:
Target have used the occasion of their latest signing to go all Premier League once again:
1st September, Newcastle: Chris “Hollywood” Dobey has today been announced as the latest major signing to Target Darts in a landmark transfer deadline day deal.
The 2023 Masters Champion (pictured) penned his commitment to Target at his beloved St James’ Park, home of Newcastle United FC, as he became the latest global star to join Target’s impressive stable alongside world leading talents Rob Cross, Nathan Aspinall, Raymond van Barneveld and 16 times World Champion Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor.
Dobey will debut his exclusive new Generation 1 Target darts and shirt collection at the Players Championship in Barnsley on Sunday, 3rd September ahead of general sale on 19th September.
Born in Bedlington, Northumberland, the 33-year-old is a lifelong Magpies fan and has become firm fan favourite since he turned professional in 2015.
Boosted by his first major title when winning 2023 Masters Champion in January, Dobey has shot into top 20 of the PDC World Rankings this year and is a one-to-watch in the global game.
Chris Dobey said: “It’s a really special moment to be signing for Target Darts on transfer deadline day, especially at the home of Newcastle United, my boyhood football club. I’ve had some amazing moments watching Newcastle play here and this is another special moment to add to the list.
