Andreas Harrysson was victorious on Saturday as he crowned the winner of Week Seven at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Kevin Painter in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Harrysson, who entered the finale having won Group A earlier in the week, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches, as he defeated Shane McGuirk and Haruki Muramatsu to progress through to the Semi Finals where he came up against Alec Small.
The Swedish Star survived match darts from his opponent, as he came through a last leg decider to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Harrysson came up against Kevin Painter, who’d defeated Shane McGuirk in the last four.
The final proved a bridge too far for the former World Championsbip runner-up as the Swede demolished ‘The Artist’ 4-1 to seal his place in Champions Week and pick up the £5,000 weekly first prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week Eight, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including WDF World Champion Neil Duff.
Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
