Winmau star William Borland is in a commanding position to qualify for Finals Night in the ADC Vault 4.0 Series, winning at the Crown Inn in Kilmarnock to move 40pts clear at the top of the Scotland Regional Table. The Vault 4.0 Series ends this week with the Top 32 players in each region securing a spot at Finals Night which will take place on the 5th of November. 

Big Willie defeated George John Collumb 3-0 in the Final in Kilmarnock, wrapping up victory with an 84 checkout in 2 darts. The Scotsman has appeared at the MODUS Super Series 3 times in 2023 and will hope to secure his place at another through the Vault, with 2 Round Robin competition wins in 2 days. 

The Scotsman won a competition at the Airdrie Working Men’s Social Club the day before his success in Kilmarnock, including checkouts of 107 and 108 in beating Callum Cockburn 3-0 in the Final with a first 9 dart average of 107.44. 

Borland has picked up a whopping 13 Round Robin victories in the Scotland region of the Vault 4.0, finding three straight weekly tournament successes in Kilmarnock whilst also claiming glory in Falkirk and Livingston. 

ADC Number 2 Tony Wood strengthened his lead from 3rd placed Carl Wilkinson in the Amateur Darts Circuit Order of Merit, reaching the Final of the Peter McMenamin Memorial Trophy to earn 64 points at Middlebeck Social Club in Middlesborough, losing 5-2 in the Grand Finale against Jordan Matthews. 

The Pincher did pick up a tournament title a week prior at the Sky Lounge in Washington, after defeating Ryan Anderson 5-1 in the Final of McClurg Scaffolding Ltd Darts Open 2023, including a 12 darter with a 122 check out in the fourth leg of the match. 

Wood earnt 64 points for his victory in Washington and sits currently on 909pts, 129 clear of third placed Carl Wilkinson, with Adam Mould leading the way on 1376pts in the 2023 ADC Rankings. 

Robert Baille reduced the gap to 33pts from leader Darnell McCrory in the Northern Ireland region of the Vault 4.0 Series, beating Noel Gates 3-0 in the Final at the 1st Ballyclare Linfield Supporters Club, in WDF World Champion Neil Duff’s hometown. 

Leader McCrory has claimed the 3 Round Robin victories in October, winning in Newtonabbey, Larne and Ballymena, beating Colin McGarry 3-2 in one of his Final victories at the Ballylumford Sports and Social Club. 

Lewis Drabarek levelled with Leighton Bennett in 2nd place in the Yorkshire and Humber Region, as Daniel Murphy leads the way with a week to go by 7 points. Lewis claimed his 6th title in the Vault 4.0 Series at Nellies Club in Hull, averaging a staggering 102 in beating Shaun Rutter 3-2 in the Final, wrapping up victory with a 12-darter courtesy of a 121 finish. 

Murphy has 68 points to his name after winning 4 titles and reaching 7 Semi Finals in the Vault 4.0 Series, with his last victory coming at the start of October after whitewashing Leighton Bennett 3-0 in the Final at the George in Bridlington. 

Danny Humphries reached triple digits for points in the Southwest region after claiming 6 titles so far in the Vault 4.0. Humphries included a 96 checkout to clinch a last leg decider against Jon Shergold in the Final of an event at the Stratford Social Club in Salsbury, earning 101 points with a week’s action left to play. 

Danny leads second placed Andy Steed by 26 points in the table, with 3rd placed Gary Eastwood winning a recent competition in Salsbury after clinching a last leg decider against Humphries, who threw a first 9 dart average of 100.13 despite defeat. 

Elsewhere, Michael Huntley sits on 120 points at the top of the Wales region after claiming a whopping 14 titles so far, with Babyface set to feature in Group A of Week 11 in the MODUS Super Series at the Live Lounge. Carl Smull with 3 titles won so far, leads the Northeast region ahead of chasers John Purdy and Karl Coleman. 

Former ADC MODUS qualifier Jamie Durrant sits 32nd in the Northeast regional table with 24 points, ahead of 3 other players with the same points tally on overall average thrown. 

The Top 32 in the Northeast and the other regions taking part will qualify for Finals Night where the winner will earn a spot worth a minimum of £1250, playing live at the MODUS Super Series on Sportystuff TV and YouTube.
