Matthew Dennant took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, as Champions Week of Series Five commenced at the Modus Super Series.
Dennant, who entered Champions Week having won Week 11 of Series Five earlier this month, took the early lead in Group A, after winning four matches from five on the opening day.
Elsewhere, Andreas Harrysson also ended the day on 8 points, but sits in 2nd behind Dennant on leg difference, whilst Steve West sits in 3rd on 6 points, Rob Grundy in 4th on 4 points, with Sebastian Bialecki and Conan Whitehead sitting 5th and 6th respectively on 2 points each.
The Scholar recorded victories against Andreas Harrysson, Sebastian Bialecki, Steve West and Conan Whitehead, with his only defeat coming against Rob Grundy.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Dennant leading the way thus far.
Play will begin at 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
