Jamie Kelling, Scott Mitchell, Dom Taylor, Andy Boulton and Tommy Morris all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Viktor Tingstrom, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Kelling, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall, after winning four of his five matches once again, as he recorded victories against Nathan Treadgold, Adam Mould, Adam Lipscombe and Anton Ostlund, with his only defeat coming against Scott Mitchell, to end on 16 points from a possible 20.
Elsewhere, Scott Mitchell also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 12 points, whilst Anton Ostlund, Adam Mould and Adam Lipscombe finished 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively on 10 points each, with Nathan Treadgold finishing bottom on 2 points.
In Group B, Dom Taylor topped the group overall, after winning three of his four matches on Friday Evening, as he recorded victories against Scott Marsh, Mike Gillet and Tommy Morris, with his only defeat coming against Andy Boulton, to end on 14 points from a possible 16.
Elsewhere, Andy Boulton and Tommy Morris also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Boulton ending on 14 points and Morris on 6 points, whilst Mike Gillet finished 4th on 4 points and Scott Marsh bottom on 2 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week Two with the six players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm GMT.
