Stefan Bellmont and Cam Crabtree took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Marcel Walpen in Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.
Bellmont, who entered Group C having finished in 5th in Group A earlier in the week, took the early lead, after winning four of his five matches.
The Swiss recorded victories against Cor Dekker, Scott Walters, Mat Caste and Niall Culleton, with his only defeat coming against Danny Lauby.
Elsewhere, Lauby also ended the day on 8 points, but sits in 2nd behind Bellmont on leg difference, whilst Scott Walters sits in 3rd on 6 points, Cor Dekker in 4th on 4 points, with Niall Culleton and Mat Caste sitting 5th and 6th respectively on 2 points each.
In Group B, Cam Crabtree took the early lead, after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four, as he recorded victories against Richard North, Jacob Taylor, Rob Collins and Adam Hunt, dropping just four legs across the night.
Elsewhere, three players in Adam Hunt, Jacob Taylor and Richard North ended the night 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively on 4 points each, whilst Rob Collins sits bottom on 0 points having suffered four defeats from four.
Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Marcel Walpen in Saturday’s finale, with Bellmont and Crabtree taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 1pm GMT and Group B will commence from 10pm GMT.
