Nine Dart Star Steve West moved to the top of the table on Tuesday, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five on Day Two of the MODUS Super Series week.
The former Tour Card holder looks well placed to secure his place in Saturday’s finale, going into the final day of Group A on Wednesday.
West, who entered Tuesday’s play in 3rd on 6 points from the opening day of Group A, won five matches from five to move top of the table, as he recorded victories against Ben Robb, Marko Kantele, Jeffrey De Graaf, Tony Wood and Simon Adams, dropping just six legs across the day to sit on 16 points from a possible 20 thus far.
Along the way, West fired in a perfect Nine Dart leg during his 4-1 victory against De Graaf.
Elsewhere, Ben Robb and Jeffrey De Graaf are the closest competitors to West, with the pair sitting 2nd and 3rd respectively overall on 12 points each, whilst Tony Wood sits in 4th on 10 points, Simon Adams in 5th on 6 points and Marko Kantele bottom on 4 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Wednesday with the six players returning on the final day of Group A, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with West leading the way thus far. Players who finish in places 2-6 will be split into two groups for Thursday and Friday’s play with Afternoon and Evening sessions taking place on both days, as well as new players entering the fray. Play will begin at 9:30am GMT on Wednesday and will be streamed live on The Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
