STEVE West was victorious on Saturday as he crowned the winner of Week Five at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Ben Robb in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
West, who entered the finale having finished 2nd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches, as he recorded victories against Simon Adams and Ben Robb to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Conor Heneghan and from there, West defeated the Irishman, 4-2, to book his place in the final.
came up against Ben Robb for the second time on the night, who’d defeated Mike Warburton in the last four, and once again, West was victorious, as he defeated ‘Big Rig’ 4-2 to seal his place in Champions Week for a fourth time, as well as picking up the £5,000 weekly first prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week Six, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field to be announced in due course.
Play will commence from 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
