Darts Hero: The Inaugural Winner Is Announced!
Exclusive Interviews:
Dennis Priestley is unique in darts in many ways. To catch up with him and discuss events 30 years ago is a strong reminder of how far our game has come but also the courage and skill of those who laid the foundations.
We are also privileged to have close relations with the player who came third in that inaugural event. Our conversation with Steve Brown is revealing and gripping. Three decades later and he can still discuss it like it was last week and his thoughts on losing out to Phil Taylor seem so raw!
At the other end of the spectrum is Thibault Tricole. The Frenchman will make his and his nations Ally Pally debut on Monday. Harry Masterton caught up with him to see how it feels to be carving out history with every new achievement.
Columns:
Colin Osborne and Natalie Gilbert give you their regular perspective on all angles of the darting world. The Wizard offers his insights on this years event and this time of year for working darters. Meanwhile Gilbert The Great is reflecting on Lakeside and the experience of being a ‘fan’.
Thomas Bartley’s Media Matters gives us an interesting perspective on TV coverage and developments in the commentary box.
Legacy Features:
Legendary Lensman Lawrence Lustig takes us to ‘Pally’s of the Past’ with two superb pieces. Firstly, his memories of the dramatic Wade v Lewis semifinal we have entitles ‘Wind Stops Play’ and then a touching and warm issue of his regular One Shot ‘column’ which features one of his favourite images.
