Chris Gilliland took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, with Week 11 of Series Six commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Gilliland, who last appeared at the Super Series back in July last year, made his return by taking the early lead in Group A, with the Northern Irishman winning four matches from five and recording victories against Carl Sneyd, Gilbert Van der Meijden, Christopher Toonders and Mikuru Suzuki, whilst his only defeat came against Haruki Muramatsu, as he sits on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Muramatsu also ended the day on 8 points, but sits in 2nd behind Gilliland on leg difference, whilst Carl Sneyd sits in 3rd on 6 points, Gilbert Van der Meijden and Christopher Toonders sitting 4th and 5th on 4 points each and Mikuru Suzuki bottom on 0 points, having suffered five defeats from five.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Gilliland leading the way thus far.
Play will begin at 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
