Varied Value for Premier Night Three

Red Dragon Darts

THE third round of the BetMGM Premier League offers some intriguing match ups. Title sponsors BetMGM’s odds indicate some possible value prior to tonight’s fixtures in Glasgow.

Last week’s winner Michael Van Gerwen faces Peter Wright in the second match of the night. The Dutchman starts as an overwhelming favourite at 2/15. He is also priced at 11/8 to win the match, throw the most 180’s and get the highest checkout of the match. Yet Wright will have huge support from the Glasgow crowd and has shown signs of a return to some sort of form over the last week or so?

Our other weekly winner of 2024, Michael Smith, faces Rob Cross in the opening match of the evening. Smith starts as a slight favourite, priced at 10/13 with Cross priced at 49/50 to get the victory.

Fixtures

·       World number one Luke Humphries plays Nathan Aspinall in his quarter final fixture. He’s priced at 33/100 to advance to the semi final stage while Aspinall will be looking for his first victory in this year’s tournament. He is priced at 11/5 to cause an upset.

·       The standout quarter final fixture sees Wales’ Gerwyn Price face England’s Luke Littler. Littler starts as the favourite, priced at 3/5 whilst its 5/4 for Price to get the win. It’s expected to be a close encounter and its 9/10 for there to be over 9.5 legs in the match.

Night winner

After winning last week’s round in Berlin, Michael Van Gerwen starts the night as favourite, priced at 11/4. England’s Luke Littler will be looking for a first Premier League round win and he is available at 3/1 while Luke Humphries is available at 7/2.

·       Michael Van Gerwen – 11/4

·       Luke Littler – 3/1

·       Luke Humphries – 7/2

·       Michael Smith – 11/2

·       Rob Cross – 7/1

·       Gerwyn Price – 8/1

·       Nathan Aspinall – 18/1

·       Peter Wright – 40/1

We’re already seeing the leaderboard start to take shape with Michael Smith sitting on top, closely followed by Michael Van Gerwen and Luke Littler. This week’s action in Glasgow looks set to be another huge night with some stellar quarter final fixtures. Michael Van Gerwen will be looking to make it back-to-back victories, while world number one Luke Humphries will be looking to kickstart his BetMGM Premier League season with a victory in Scotland.
