Former PDC Tour Card holder Jason Lowe has had thirty-two wins from thirty-three games in the Amblecote RBL Premier League and has a lead of thirty-two points over second placed Ian Townsend. Lowe didn’t play darts this week but Townsend did and in his games he beat Dave Edwards 5-2 and lost 4-3 to Paul Wells to leave him thirty-two points behind Lowe and with a nine points lead over third placed Nick Fullwell who on the night won 7-0 against Robbie Hipkiss and Craig Slater 6-1. Sixth placed Andy Vellender has only played twenty-seven games, six fewer than the top three teams but he has only amassed a total of 156 points.

A couple of rearranged games were played off in the Camp Hill League to complete their domestic fixtures, one of those games brought together the league’s top two teams, top of the table Wakefield Warriors and second placed Diggitys Bar. The result was a narrow 4-3 victory for Wakefield Warriors to see them finish as champions with a perfect twenty-eight points from their fourteen games, Diggitys Bar finished as runners-up on average with twenty points, the same number as third placed GGSB who played their final game at home versus Wakefield Terriers and won it 7-0 which was not enough to catch Diggitys as they ended three legs to the good on GGSB.

The defeat for Wakefield Terriers however was costly as it lost them the Shadow League title, Moseley Arms finishing with the same six points but three legs better off than the Terriers.

L.Rooney hit a maximum for Diggitys Bar.

The league also played off the final of their Consolation Cup which saw Shannons Rebels clinch the title with a close 4-3 win over Moseley Arms.

Week three in the Sheldon and District Summer League brought about no changes in the group one table, Langley Arrows holding on to pole position with a 6-2 home win over Trident Spears with Tom Garfield hitting a maximum for Langley. Second placed Raven Arrows are two points behind Langley after having a bye and now have a game in hand on them.

A 5-3 win at Smithswood Social Club sees Kingshurst Labour Club remain top of group two they made it three consecutive wins, which gives them a two points lead on second placed RAFA Arrows, who moved up from fourth to second with a 5-3 home win over RAFA who were formerly in the number two spot, Sheldon Marlborough Ridge dropped from third to fourth after they were held to a 4-4 draw at Family Tree.

In group three Lyndon Old Boys had a 6-2 win at Arran Way Arrows to stay top of the table with an undefeated record in their three games, and just one point behind them is Raven who won 5-3 at Hunters Moon whose Gill Lynch hit a 180.

Leaders of group four are Langley Pints, their latest fixture saw them win 6-2 at CBMC-A to keep them one point ahead of second in the group Station Inn after they won by the same 6-2 margin in their home game against Maggies who were previously second and now drop to fourth with CBMC-A- third, Station Inn and CBMC-A are both on four points, one fewer than Langley Pints, Maggies are on three points.

A 5-3 home defeat to Castle Bromwich Spitfires has cost Langley Bullets their number one spot in group five, they have dropped to third place with four points, one fewer than the two teams above them. Yardley District Amateur Darts have taken over the top spot thanks to a 5-3 win at Weir Raven and a maximum from Mick Tilley, Castle Bromwich Spitfires are second just one leg of average short of the top team.

A 3-0 win over Matthew Hoare followed by a 2-1 success against Bob Cooper sees Matthew Cain remain top of the Heartlands Sugardarts M&E Co Double Top League with ninety-eight points from thirty-eight games. Second placed Steve Cain chalked up three 3-0 wins in his games against Bob Cooper, Brian Meer and John Yates to put him on the same ninety-eight points as Matthew Cain but from forty-three games. Third placed Martin Cooper’s night didn’t get off to a good start as he finished on the wrong side of the 3-0 result with Charlie Roger, however he recovered to win by the same margin against Emma Cain to put him on ninety-two points from thirty-eight games, six points short of Steve Cain but with five games in hand.

Despite a maximum from K.Mason, Stirchley United lost their home fixture in division one of the South West Birmingham Clubs League with West Heath CEM 4-3 and at the same time their pole position and dropped to joint second place with Northfield Darts Club, both teams level on four points and with the same average. Taking over at the top of the division is Kings Norton Ex Serviceman’s Club who made it three straight wins when they accounted for their visitors Northfield Conservative Club ‘B’ with a 6-1 result giving them six points, two more than Stirchley United and Northfield Darts Club and also fourth placed West Heath CEM, Northfield Darts Club won 4-3 at Quarry Lane Club.

Division two leaders E57 had a 6-1 home win over Bartley Green FC to keep them top of the division but only on average as their nearest rivals Northfield Conservative Club ‘A’ won 4-3 at home against Kings Norton Arrows to leave them trailing the leaders by just four legs of average.

In the division one pre-match doubles table, Northfield Darts Club lead the way with thirty-three points, three more than second placed Northfield Conservative Club ‘B’.

Bartley Green FC top the division two pre-match doubles table but only by one leg of average as second placed E57 are on the same thirty-one points and have won all their three games whereas Bartley Green FC have lost one of their three games.

Leaders of the Stourbridge and District Monday Night League, Old Liberal Club had a bye in week fifteen nevertheless they remain top of the table with a perfect twenty-eight points from their fourteen games with a lead of two over second in the league Gornal British Legion who had a 5-2 home win over fifth placed Bird in Hand. Former leaders Cross slipped to a 4-3 home defeat in their game with Netherton Conservative Club ‘A’ and are placed third with twenty-four points, four off the top but two to the good on fourth and fifth placed Five Ways and Bird in Hand, Five Ways won 5-2 at home against Swan.

The Stourbridge and District Wednesday Night League played off the preliminary round of their League Cup, the biggest win of the round going to Stourbridge FC ‘A’ who handed out a 7-0 whitewash in their home game to Ashwood. Close behind Stourbridge FC ‘A’ were Chop House who had a 6-1 home win over Plough. There were 5-2 win for  Stourbridge FC Youth, High Acres 5,  Swan, Old Liberal Club ‘B’ and Raven at the expense in turn of Wheatsheaf, Five Ways, Netherton Conservative Club, Ten Arches and Railway. Three fixtures had narrow 4-3 results with Bird in Hand ‘E’, Old Liberal Club ‘A’ and Hot Shots in turning taking out Beech Tree Miners, Hollybush and Fox Inn (Lye). Stourbridge FC ‘B’  had a bye.

Bell made it twelve wins in as many games in division one of the Rowley Monday Night League when they won 6-3 at Whiteheath Tavern. With ten matches remaining, Bell have a four points cushion at the top of the table over second placed Gate Hangs Well who won their fixture away to Snooks also by 6-3. There is then another four points gap to third placed Tividale FC, who made it 6-3 wins for all of the top three sides when they won at Rowley Labour Club.

Bostin Darts ‘B’ are the only division two side with a 100% win record, they made it twelve win in a row when they won 5-4 at Star Valley. Second in the division Double Tops Micro Bar lost 6-3 at home to fall four points behind the leaders but still six points ahead of third placed Loyal Lodge after they won 7-2 at Bostin Darts ‘C’.

Three players in the league notched maximums this week, L.Horton (Gate Hangs Well), S.Green (Hawthorns Tavern) and S.Layton (Shelter). J.Bland (Shelter) had a 160 break.

The Netherton Thursday Night 501 League played their Captains Cup down to the last four players and winning through to the semi-finals were, Paul Nicholls (Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘B’), Alex Homer (Haden Cross), Chris Hart (Old Liberal Club) and Bobby Carr (Dudley Ex Serviceman’s Club ‘A’).

With the current top two players in the West Midlands Ladies Super League having completed their fixtures, there are players still taking part in rearranged games. One of those players is Kat McLean who has been steadily climbing up the table and this week she played three games and won all threee beating Claire Hobbs 3-0, Sarah Barrett 3-1 and Crysta Davies-Fullwood 3-0 to take her up into third place in the table with 116 points, two behind leader Jacqueline Maiden and one short of second placed reigning champion Evonne Taylor, and she still has three more games to play, the title now well within her grasp.

Staffordshire Knot consolidated their number one position in the West Midlands Men’s Super League this week by handing out a 5-0 whitewash to their visitors Gilbert’s Bar ‘A’. The win takes the leaders points tally to ninety-one and increases their advanatge over second placed Kings Head to seven points after they had a narrow 3-2 home win over Junction ‘A’. Third placed Dog and Partridge also won 5-0 in their home game with Landywood, however they are now eighteen points off the top of the table and eleven points short of King Head.

Simon Pritchard continues to lead the division one table in the Gilbert’s Bar Monday Night Singles League, in week twenty-one he beat Dave Rich 5-3 tp give him a total of 126 points from nineteeen games. Second placed Chris Manoila played his eighteenth game and beat Artur Lubkowski 6-2 to stay within six points of Pritchard while third placed and reigning champion Scott Baker won 8-0 against Joe Bartolo to put him on 116 points but from only fourteen games.

Division two, leader Wayne Barratt didn’t play this week, he has 137 points from nineteen games and a lead of four over his nearest rival Matt Ford who won 5-3 against Mike Franks. Third placed Charlie Baker has only played sixteen games, his latest 7-1 win over Liam Davis leaving him twelve points short of Pritchard and eight behind Ford with three games in hand on both players.
