David Cameron took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, with Week Three of Series Seven commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Cameron, who last appeared at the Super Series back in July last year, made his return – after a busy weekend on the World Seniors Darts Tour – by taking the early lead in Group A, winning four of his five matches .
The Canadian, known as Excalibur recorded victories against John Michael, Michael Huntley, Ivo Leeksma and Jim McEwan, with his only defeat coming against Bradly Roes, to end the day on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Greek star John Michael, aka The Deadly Rose, also ended the day on 8 points, but sits in 2nd behind Cameron on leg difference, whilst Jim McEwan sits in 3rd on 6 points, with Bradly Roes and Ivo Leeksma sitting 4th and 5th respectively on 4 points each and Michael Huntley bottom on 0 points, having suffered five defeats from five.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Cameron leading the way thus far.
Play will begin at 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
