Croft and Duff Lead MSS

Joe Croft and Neil Duff took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Scott Taylor in Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.

Croft, who last appeared at the Super Series back in November and enjoyed a run to the 3rd round of the UK Open earlier this month, made his return by taking the early lead in Group A, after winning four of his five matches.

Joe chalked up victories against Nigel Lloyd, Jimmy Hendriks, Johnny Stewart and Steve Hine, with his only defeat coming against Antony Allen, to end the day on 8 points from a possible 10.

Elsewhere, Jimmy Hendriks also ended the day on 8 points, but sits in 2^nd behind Croft on leg difference, whilst Steve Hine sits in 3^rd on 6 points, Antony Allen and Nigel Lloyd sat 4^th and 5^th respectively on 4 points each and Johnny Stewart bottom on 0 points, having suffered five defeats from five.

In Group B, Neil Duff took the early lead, after winning three of his four matches, as he recorded victories against Devon Petersen, Chris Quantock and Adam Lipscombe, with his only defeat coming against Chas Barstow, to end the evening on 6 points from a possible 8.

Elsewhere, Chas Barstow and Adam Lipscombe also ended the night on 6 points each but sit 2^nd and 3^rd respectively behind Duff on leg difference, whilst Chris Quantock sits in 4^th on 2 points and Devon Petersen bottom on 0 points, having suffered four defeats from four.

The Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Scott Taylor in Saturday’s finale, with Croft and Duff taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 1pm GMT and Group B will commence from 10pm GMT.
