Haines and Sneyd Among ADC Vault Winners

The ADC’s Vault Series (6.0) came to a climax for most areas with nine players triumphant and only Scotland and Eire’s MODUS Super Series qualifiers yet to be decided.

The ADC have created a truly level playing field opportunity for any player to earn their big stage chance, and up to £25,000 in prize money, without huge travelling or financial commitment.

Johnny Haines and Carl Sneyd will feature at the MODUS Super Series after coming through their regional qualifiers in dramatic style. Haines edged out multiple PDC Major finalist Terry Jenkins to earn his return to Portsmouth.

Carl Sneyd will feature at the MODUS Super Series after coming through the Northwest regional qualifier in the Amateur Darts Circuit Vault 6.0.

Carl defeated top seed Jason Chisnall 6-4 in the Final having qualified for Finals Day due to finishing 10th in the Northwest Order of Merit, after 7 weeks played.  

Sneyd opened his campaign at Riley’s in Liverpool with a whitewash 6-0 win over Josh Lightowler including a 91.09 average, hitting a first 9 score of 102.5 in a strong opening showing from Bomber. 

The 38-year-old then beat James Townley 6-1 in the Last 16, before including finishes of 73, 74 and 90 in beating 2nd Seed Patrick Williams 6-3 in the Quarter Finals.

The Northwest regional qualifier was as competitive as ever with Carl then coming up against David Evans, who had recently endured a perfect campaign in Group B in the MODUS Super Series. 

However, three 100+ checkouts (2 x 100 and 112) and an 82+ average saw Sneyd run out a 6-2 winner against Stretch, to book his place in the Final against top seed Jason Chisnall who beat Scott Dale 6-3 in the other Semi. 

Jason moved level at 4-4 after the 8th leg but was not given another opportunity in the Final by Bomber, who included finishes of 70 and 44 both in 2 darts, to secure a trip to the Live Lounge. 

Johnny Haines endured what was a perfect Vault 6.0 campaign in the Southwest, having clinched qualification for the MODUS Super Series at the Nags Head Inn in Cinderford as the regions number 1 player. 

The Punk defeated 3rd Seed Terry Jenkins 6-5 in a last leg decider to secure a return to Portsmouth, hitting an average of 89.68 in the Final. The 59-year-old’s best performance on Sunday came in the Last 16 where he beat Josh McCarthy 6-2, with a score of 96.54 and his first 9 average being a whopping 113.38. 

Tommy Lishman advanced in the Yorkshire and Humber region with back-to-back averages of 92.86 and 92.27 in his Semi Final and Final wins over Oliver Mitchell and Jacob Gwynne at the Brunswick Hotel in Bridlington. 

Tommy was the 29th Seed at the MODUS qualifier and advanced in the Final 6-3 against Jacob Gwynne, hitting 4 180s and a first 9 average of 109.11. 

Elsewhere, Bradley Coltman who has impressed on the ADC Championship Tour Circuit will represent the ADC as the winner in the Midlands at the Cue and Brew Sports Bar in Kidderminster, whilst Barry Copeland advanced in Northern Ireland with a 6-3 victory over Johnny Stewart in the Final. 

The Regional qualifiers in the Republic of Ireland and Scotland are still to be played, with 2 more spots at the MODUS Super Series available via the Vault 6.0. 

The Vault 7.0 begins next week, as the fight to finish in the Top 32 in each regions will begin once again. So no more thinking ‘I could gibve those guys a run for their money’ get yourself along and show them!
