Game number nine in the Four Oaks and District League brought disappointment to division one leaders Bishop Vesey as they suffered their first taste of defeat this season, a surprisingly big 8-1 defeat away to their nearest rivals, second placed Beehive, the win seeing Beehive draw level on both points and average with Bishop Vesey to share pole position.
A 6-3 home defeat by Drakes Drum has cost Heartlands the division-two leadership and sees them drop to second place on twelve points two fewer than new leaders Walmley CSC Flights who had a 6-3 home win over Plough and Arrows. Like Heartlands third placed Red Lion are also on twelve points following their 5-4 home win over Charley’s Flights.
Pint Pot Flights continue to lead the way in division three, their 7-2 win at St Thomas Arrows opening up a two points advantage over their second placed opponents who in turn are two to the good on third and fourth placed Sutton Sharks and Deer’s Leap, Sharks losing 6-3 at Rosey Mac’s while Deer’s Leap had an 8-1 home win over Rosey Mac’s Bar.
Dean Grainger (Beehive) hit the only maximum of the week.

After completing game seventeen in the South Birmingham Clubs League there was no change in the top six places in the singles division, leaders Longbridge United with a 160 break from A.Sutton winning 5-3 away to Northfield Conservative Club ‘B’ who are fourth in the league but now eleven points off the top. Second placed West Heath CEM won their game away to third placed Northfield Town 6-1 to put them on twenty-six points five short of Longbridge but five ahead of their opponents. Perfection are fifth after being held to a 4-4 draw at Stirchley United, their nineteen points one better than sixth in the table Bournbrook who won 5-3 at home against E57 leaving them with a game in hand.
In the pre-match doubles division the results had no effect on the table whatsoever with West Heath CEM continuing to lead the field with 192 points, Longbridge United second with 185 points.

A 5-3 home win over bottom of the table Sedgemere Devil’s was not enough for Cotterills Lane EBAHA Club to hold on to second place in the Camp Hill League as Wakefield Warriors beat Roost 6-1 to leap-frog them and take over the number two spot on average. Wakefield are unbeaten in their four games played and have a game in hand on leaders Tyseley Bears, the only other undefeated team in the league. Tyseley took their winning run to five games with a 4-3 win at Clumsy Swan who are fifth in the league.
Wakefield Warriors player Chris Stokes chalked up an eight darts game.

In the Hilltop Friendly Tuesday Night League Vine ‘A’ remain unbeaten and took their winning run to nine games in style by handing their visitors Horseley Tavern ‘B’ a 7-0 whitewash to open up a four points lead over Allen’s Bar and Three Horseshoes after Allen’s lost ground going down 4-3 at home to Three Horseshoes who are third and now on the same fourteen points as their opponents. Also on fourteen points is fourth placed Tamebridge who increased their tally with a 5-2 home win over Sow and Pigs.
League newcomers this season King Arthur had a bit of a rough start to their campaign as they lost their opening six games but with a 4-3 home win over Ivy Bush they have now won two of their last three fixtures.

Dan Nicholls has opened up a twelve points lead at the top of the Amblecote RBL Premier League after adding to his account the latest results which saw him win 6-1 against Matt Davies and then go one better with a 7-0 success against Josh Wheeler putting him on 194 points from 35 games. Second placed Nick Fullwell kicked off with a similar 6-1 win in his game against Wozza Pritchard and he then had a narrow 4-3 win over Ian Townsend to give him a total of 182 points from 34 fixtures.

In week ten of the West Midlands Ladies Super League leader Jacqueline Maiden had a little setback to her title hopes when she suffered her first defeat of the season, a 3-1 reversal at the hands of Gemma Barrett who is third in the league on twenty-six points, two short of Maiden who despite the loss hangs on to the number one spot with twenty-eight points. After her ten fixtures Jacqueline Maiden remains one point ahead of second placed Shellbie Simmons who suffered a similar fate as she lost 3-1 to Jodie Rowlands who also had a 3-0 win over Jackie Trott to see her move four places in the table to fifth with seventeen points from nine games.

Scott Baker is back where he finished last season in division one of the Gilbert’s Bar Monday Night Singles League and that is top of the table. In the latest round of fixtures Baker won 6-2 against Adam Teasdale to give him a total of 116 points from sixteen games and a lead of sixteen over second placed Ian Stanton who didn’t play this week. Stanton’s 100 points are from fourteen games and as a result has two in hand on Baker.
A 5-3 win over Keith Hollowood keeps Alan Melling top of division two, Melling having amassed a total of ninety-nine points from his fourteen games but second placed Kurt Wright’s 7-1 win over Alex Simmons has given him ninety-three points and leaves him with three games in hand on Melling.
Dave Thackeray consolidate his pole position in division three with an 8-0 win over Jacqui Simmons to give him a total of 117 points and although he only has a three points lead on second placed Thomas Hollowood he has played one game fewer than Hollowood. Hollowood kept in touch with Thackeray as he chalked up a 7-1 win over Gareth Walsh.

The Wolverhampton Tuesday Night League have got their new season underway and have increased their numbers from twelve to an encouraging eighteen teams. The season began with no fewer than four teams handing out a 7-0 whitewash in the singles division, Corpus Christi ‘A’, Junction ‘B’, Wednesfield Legion and Woodfield who in turn defeated Harrowby Arms, Junction ‘C’, New Gate Inn ‘B’ and Three Crowns. Not far behind the leading quartet were Gilbert’s Bar ‘A’ and New Gate ‘A’ who had 6-1 win against respective opponents Ring of Bells and Junction ‘A’.
In the doubles division no fewer than seven of the nine games finished with a straight 3-0 result with those wins supplied by Corpus Christi ‘A’, Corpus Christi ‘B’, Gilbert’s Bar ‘A’, Golden Lion, Hotshots, Junction ‘B’ and Wednesfield Legion.
