Fallon Goes Top As Evetts Sweeps Up

Fallon Sherrock moved to the top of the table on Tuesday, after winning four of her five matches on Day Two and looks to secure her place in Saturday’s finale, going into the final day of Group A on Wednesday.

Sherrock, who entered Tuesday’s play on 6 points from the opening day of Group A, won four matches from five to move top of the table as overnight leader Daniel Astbury had less return on day 2.

The Queen of The Palace recorded victories against Andy Hamilton, James Vanbesien, Daniel Astbury and Darius Labanauskas, with her only defeat coming against Ted Evetts, to end the day on 14 points from a possible 20 thus far.

Evetts a former World Youth Champion, who Fallon famously defeated at Ally Pally in 2020, had a vastly improved day as he swept through his 5 matches undefeated to reverse his fortunes after only a single win on Monday.

Elsewhere, Daniel Astbury and Ted Evetts are the closest competitors to Sherrock, with the pair sitting 2^nd and 3^rd respectively overall on 12 points each, whilst James Vanbesien sits in 4^th on 10 points, Darius Labanauskas in 5^th on 8 points and Andy Hamilton bottom on 4 points.

The Modus Super Series continues on Wednesday with the six players returning on the final day of Group A, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Sherrock leading the way thus far.

Players who finish in places 2-6 will be split into two groups for Thursday and Friday’s play with Afternoon and Evening sessions taking place on both days, as well as new players entering the fray.
