Andrew Davidson took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after winning three of his five matches, with Week 11 of Series Seven commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Davidson, who was making his debut at the Super Series, won three matches from five to take the early lead. Group A threatens to be an even more tense affair than normal as multiple players are bunched together with three wins, and every player has managed at least two wins, after the opening day’s play.
Davidson recorded victories against Michel Van der Horst, Ashley Coleman and Brian Raman, with his two defeats coming against Tommy Morris and Devon Petersen, to sit on 6 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Tommy Morris and Ashley Coleman also ended the day on 6 points each but sit 2nd and 3rd respectively behind Davidson on leg difference, whilst the remaining three players in Van der Horst, Petersen and Raman sit 4th, 5th and 6th on 4 points each.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Davidson leading the way thus far.
Play will begin at 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
