Meulenkamp Into MSS Final

Ron Meulenkamp secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning three of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series.

Meulenkamp, who entered Wednesday’s play on 20 points from the opening two days of Group A, topped the group overall, after winning three matches from five. The Bomb had a perfect record after two days play but narrowly missed out on becoming the first 15 for 15 player or joining ‘Club 14’.

The Dutchman recorded victories against Rusty-Jake Rodriguez, Dennis Van der Ende and Johann Brouwer, with his two defeats coming against Joshua Carter and Joe Murnan, to end on 26 points from a possible 30.

Elsewhere, Johann Brouwer and Joe Murnan will compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively overall, with Brouwer ending on 20 points and Murnan on 16 points.

The duo will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by, 2024 form-horse, Andy Boulton together with youngsters Cam Crabtree and Keelan Kay.

Rusty-Jake Rodriguez, Dennis Van der Ende and Joshua Carter will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4^th, 5^th and 6^th respectively overall, with Rodriguez ending on 14 points, Van der Ende on 8 points and Carter on 6 points.

The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Afternoon by Ryan Furness, Scott Baker and Chris Hurds.

The Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 1pm BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST.
