Scott Baker, Ryan Furness, Cam Crabtree, Keelan Kay and Andy Boulton all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday after coming through their respective groups at the Modus Super Series, to join Ron Meulenkamp, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Baker, who entered Friday’s play on 8 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall, after winning four of his five matches again, as he recorded victories against Rusty-Jake Rodriguez, Chris Hurds, Joshua Carter and Dennis Van der Ende, with his only defeat coming against Ryan Furness, to end on 16 points from a possible 20.
Elsewhere, Ryan Furness also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 12 points, edging out Chris Hurds, who missed out in 3rd due to a head-to-head statistic with Furness, whilst Dennis Van der Ende finished 4th on 8 points, with Rusty-Jake Rodriguez and Joshua Carter finishing 5th and 6th on 6 points each.
In Group B, Cam Crabtree topped the group overall, after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four, as he recorded victories against Andy Boulton, Keelan Kay, Joe Murnan and Johann Brouwer, to end on 12 points from a possible 16.
Elsewhere, Keelan Kay and Andy Boulton also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall on 8 points each, edging out Johann Brouwer, who missed out in 4th on leg difference, whilst Joe Murnan finished bottom on 4 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week 12 with the six players battling it out for just one spot up for grabs at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm BST.
