Bradly Roes, Steven Johnstone, Justin Smith, Andy Hamilton and Chris Gilliland all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday, after coming through their respective groups at the MODUS Super Series, to join Tom Sykes, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Roes, who entered Friday’s play on 6 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall, after winning four of his five matches, recording victories against Jack Male, Michael Burgoine, Martin Adams and Martyn Turner, with his only defeat coming against Steven Johnstone, to end on 14 points from a possible 20.
Steven Johnstone also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 14 points, whilst Martyn Turner finished 3rd on 12 points, Martin Adams in 4th on 10 points, Michael Burgoine 5th on 6 points and Jack Male bottom on 4 points.
In Group B, Justin Smith topped the group after winning three of his four matches, as he recorded victories against Jamie Kelling, Revelino Dubois and Chris Gilliland, with his only defeat coming against Andy Hamilton, to end on 12 points from a possible 16.
Andy Hamilton and Chris Gilliland also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall with 10 points each, whilst Jamie Kelling finished 4th on 6 points and Revelino Dubois bottom on 2 points.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Saturday with the conclusion of Week One as the six players battle it out for just one spot at Champions Week, with play commencing from 7:30pm BST. Play will be streamed live on the MODUS YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
