JOHN Henderson and Reece Robinson took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Andreas Harrysson in Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.
In Group B, John Henderson took the early lead, after winning three of his four matches, as he recorded victories against Ross Montgomery, Tommy Morris and Alec Small, with his only defeat coming against John O’Shea, to end the evening on 6 points from a possible 8.
Elsewhere, John O’Shea also ended the night on 6 points, but sits in 2nd behind Henderson due to legs won across the evening’s play, whilst Tommy Morris and Ross Montgomery sit 3rd and 4th respectively on 4 points each, with Alec Small sitting bottom on 0 points having suffered four straight defeats.
Meanwhile Robinson, who entered Group C having finished bottom of Group A earlier in the week, won four matches from five to take the early lead.
The former PDC starlet recorded victories against Lee Cocks, Gilbert Van der Meijden, Niall Culleton and Richard Hosey, with his only defeat coming against Richard Rowlands, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Lee Cocks also ended the day on 8 points, but sits in 2nd behind Robinson due to legs won across the afternoon’s play, whilst Richard Rowlands sits in 3rd on 6 points, Gilbert Van der Meijden and Richard Hosey sitting 4th and 5th respectively on 4 points each and Niall Culleton bottom on 0 points, having suffered five straight defeats.
