Richie Burnett took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day One of Group A, top, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, with Week Four of Series Eight commencing at the Modus Super Series.
1995 Lakeside World champion Burnett, a former MODUS Live League Champions Week winner, who was making his debut at the Super Series,, made a perfect start by winning all five of his matches.
The Prince of Wales recorded victories against Andy Davidson, Jimmy Van Schie, Killian McCormack, Jeroen Mioch and Shane McGuirk, to sit on 10 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Jimmy Van Schie and Andy Davidson ended the day 2nd and 3rd respectively on 6 points each, whilst Jeroen Mioch and Shane McGuirk sit 4th and 5th on 4 points each, with Killian McCormack sitting bottom on 0 points having suffered five straight defeats on debut.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Burnett leading the way thus far.
