Jimmy Van Schie was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week Four at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Richie Burnett in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and pick up the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Van Schie, who entered the finale having finished 2nd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches, as he defeated Killian McCormack and Richie Burnett to progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Andy Davidson, and from there, Van Schie defeated the Scotsman, 4-3, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Van Schie came up against Richie Burnett for the second time on the night, who’d defeated Shane McGuirk in the last four, and once again the Dutchman was victorious, this time winning in a last leg decider to defeat the Welsh veteran, 4-3, and sealing his place in Champions Week once again.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week Five, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including Two Former Super Series Champions in Jim McEwan and Scott Taylor.
Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
