Mike Warburton, Adam Paxton, Aden Kirk, Andy Boulton and Viktor Tingstrom all secured their places in Saturday’s finale on Friday, after coming through their respective groups at the MODUS Super Series, to join Wesley Plaisier, the winner of Group A earlier in the week.
Warburton, who entered Friday’s play on a maximum 10 points from the opening day of Group C, topped the group overall, after winning three of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Cam Crabtree, Ben Payne and Scott Marsh, with his two defeats coming against Llew Bevan and Adam Paxton, to end on 16 points from a possible 20.
Adam Paxton also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after finishing 2nd overall on 14 points, whilst Cam Crabtree finished 3rd on 12 points, Llew Bevan in 4th on 8 points, Scott Marsh in 5th on 6 points and Ben Payne bottom on 4 points.
In Group B, Aden Kirk topped the group overall after winning three of his four matches, recording victories against Viktor Tingstrom, Jarred Cole and Harry Gregory, with his only defeat coming against Andy Boulton, to end on 14 points from a possible 16.
Elsewhere, Andy Boulton and Viktor Tingstrom also progressed through to Saturday’s finale, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Boulton ending on 12 points and Tingstrom on 8 points, whilst Jarred Cole finished 4th on 6 points and Harry Gregory bottom on 0 points having suffered eight straight defeats.
The MODUS Super Series continues on Saturday for the conclusion of Week Seven, with the six players battling it out for just one spot up at Champions Week, as play commences from 7:30pm BST.
